This page records the essential and third-party browser technologies used by the Bayt website and the choices available to visitors.

1. Who is responsible

2. Strictly necessary technology
WordPress, the host, and security services may use short-lived cookies or technical storage needed to deliver pages, balance traffic, protect forms, prevent abuse, and keep an authenticated administrator signed in. These functions are not used to build advertising profiles.

3. Form security and Google reCAPTCHA
Enquiry, contact, repair, and viewing forms may load Google reCAPTCHA when you use a protected form. reCAPTCHA processes technical signals to distinguish genuine submissions from automated spam and may use cookies or similar storage. Bayt limits it to pages that contain a form.

4. Maps and external services
A property page may contain a Google map. Google may receive your IP address, browser details, and interaction data and may set or read its own cookies when the map loads or you open it. Links to WhatsApp, Google Forms, Google Reviews, and other external sites are governed by those providers once you follow them.

5. Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages help people find a home. It only runs if you accept analytics cookies in our cookie notice: until you accept, no Google Analytics script is requested and no _ga or _ga_<container-id> cookie is set. The notice offers Accept and Reject side by side, plus a preferences panel where you can switch analytics on or off on its own. Closing the notice without choosing is not acceptance, and analytics stays off. We never use analytics to make tenancy decisions.

6. Your choices
You can change your mind at any time. Open Cookie settings on this page to reopen the notice and switch analytics off, and we will clear the _ga cookies straight away. We record your choice in a first-party cookie named bayt_consent for 12 months; it carries a version, so if the cookies we use change we will ask you again. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser or use private browsing, though blocking essential storage may affect forms. Refusing analytics never stops you reading property information or contacting us by phone or email.
