Four streets. Different ways to live together.
Our central homes range from a self-contained studio to larger groups sharing a building. The layout is part of the choice: extra kitchens and living rooms give bigger groups space to spread out.
- North Road
- A studio or a home with friends
Our five-bedroom home has two bathrooms. The ten-bedroom option combines two five-bedroom flats, with two kitchens and two living rooms. North Road also has our single-occupancy studio and confirmed bike storage.
- Queen Street
- Room for a larger group
Six- and eight-bedroom flats, individual-room listings and larger combinations in the same building. Shared facilities include secure internal bike storage and a rear courtyard.
- Penny Street
- Five bedrooms, two shower rooms
A furnished home for five on one of Lancaster’s central shopping streets. You have the city around you and a shared home to come back to.
- King Street
- Seven bedrooms, two bathrooms and a shower room
A city-centre house for seven friends. Each bedroom has its own study furniture, with shared space for the group. King Street has no private parking.

Lancaster Bus Station is on Damside Street, and most university bus services also stop on Common Garden Street. Bailrigg is around three miles south of the city; bus fares are separate from your rent.

Where are Bayt’s city-centre student homes?
Our central homes are on North Road, Queen Street, King Street and Penny Street in Lancaster. The homes shown on this page are filtered to the city centre.
Is Lancaster city centre convenient for Lancaster University?
Yes. The city has regular buses to Lancaster University’s Bailrigg campus, around three miles south. The bus station is on Damside Street, and most university services also stop at Common Garden Street. Our homes are off campus.
Can I live in the city centre on my own?
Our North Road studio is self-contained and single occupancy. We also have individual-room listings within shared homes. Each listing shows its current availability.
Are bills and laundry included?
Yes. Electricity, gas where supplied, water, high-speed fibre broadband or Wi-Fi, a TV licence and free washer-dryer use are included in every Bayt home. Utility fair-use terms vary by property size and type.
Is there bike storage or parking?
North Road and Queen Street have confirmed bike storage. North Road has a limited number of reserved paid parking spaces, subject to availability. King Street has no private parking; parking is not included across all central homes.
