Be specific about the room
A listing photograph can show a lovely bedroom without telling you whether it is the bedroom available to you. Ask that question directly, especially when looking for an individual room in a larger house. Walk through the shared space as well. You need to know how the kitchen, bathrooms and entrance work when other people are home, not only how the room looks with the door closed.

Central should still mean practical
