Sainsbury's Superstore is around the corner from North Road, making a proper food shop easy even when you are buying enough to feed a fairly substantial student house.
You are not limited to smaller convenience shops just because you live in the city centre, and nobody needs a car simply to stock the kitchen.
When cooking for ten feels slightly ambitious, Domino's is close by, Bürgshake is a short walk away, and Lancaster city centre gives you cafés, takeaways and restaurants in practically every direction.
The Sugarhouse is also nearby for nights out, while Lancaster's shops, market and other city-centre amenities are all within walking distance.
Living as a group of ten already involves enough organisation. Getting food or heading into town should not need another group chat.
