We let student houses in Lancaster, and we would send every new house down the line at least once a term — because a day in Morecambe runs almost entirely on free things: the bay, the birds, the statue, the sunset. Pick a bright day if you can, pack for the sea air either way, and the view across to the fells does the rest. And with the seafront being reinvented around Eden Project Morecambe, the town you visit in first year will not quite be the town you graduate with — which is a rather good reason to start now.
